Overview

As Head of Media & Integrated Communications DE/CH (all genders), you will lead a sizeable team (>20 people) of media & digital experts in Germany & Switzerland. Together with your team you steer all integrated communication and media planning as well as the implementation process in Germany & Switzerland across our brands (NIVEA, EUCERIN, Hansaplast, Labello, Hidrofugal, 8x4) and all categories. You will work closely with Marketing Directors, brand teams and agency partners to ensure strong, effective and efficient communication strategies that drive brand growth and business results.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the excellent local development and deployment and execution of regional integrated communication and media strategies across all channels and touchpoints (offline, online, social, influencer, PR, search, owned channels incl consumer service and in real life consumer experiences and brand partnerships
  • Own and steer the local integrated communication planning process across brands and categories
  • Ensure strong local campaign and brand activation plans aligned with local brand and business strategy and ensure their on time deployment to the markets
  • Drive excellence in media planning, buying and activation across all channels, delivering strong business results and brand metrics
  • Drive continual improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of WM/NWM investments including leading annual negotiations with key vendors
  • Lead annual activation planning including budget ownership, forecasting and ROI optimization as well as providing input to regional media & comms briefings and strategy
  • Ensure best-in-class operational excellence, performance tracking and reporting
  • Translate insights and learnings into continuous improvement of communication effectiveness
  • Manage and develop agency ecosystems, drive agency and other external partner (eg platform) relationships on local level, including priority setting, resource planning and performance evaluations
  • Oversee and steer the local consumer service operations in Germany as well as ensuring connection and alignment with the regional and global consumer service teams and hubs
  • Work with Global procurement teams & Regional media team to plan and execute media contract and monitor agency delivery of obligations. Work with auditors to lead financial & media audits on a local level
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing integrated communications team
  • Act as key contact for all media and communications-related topics within the local organization
Stakeholder & Agency Management
  • Close collaboration with Marketing, Brand, Sales, E-Commerce and Regional teams
  • Strong partnership with creative, media, influencer, social, PR, brand experience, search and consumer service agencies
  • Ensure alignment with global and regional agency ecosystems and procurement standards
Your Profile
  • University degree in a related field, preferably in economics or communication studies
  • Extensive experience in integrated communications and media leadership roles
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution excellence
  • Proven experience in managing complex agency ecosystems and media investments
  • Deep understanding of media, digital, social, influencer and brand experience touchpoints and their impact on business results and brand metrics
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading, building and developing sizeable, high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong focus on performance, KPIs and ROI
  • Curious and open minded, self motivated and passionate about marketing and media, always keeping up with latest trends & development
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
