Jobbeschreibung

In your role as Global Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans for your assigned global customers in the Wind energy industry.

This role ensures long-term customer satisfaction, drives revenue and share of wallet growth, and strengthens partnerships by aligning customer needs with the company’s products and services across multiple regions.

You are part of a dedicated team of Global Key Account Managers who are shaping one of the fastest growing segments in Hempel and with whom you closely collaborate to develop value-adding customer and product solutions.

You will report to the Head of Global Key Account Management Renewables, based at our HQ - Denmark.

  • Act as the primary contact and negotiator for assigned GKA(s), building strong relationships across all levels and geographies.

  • Develop and implement strategic and operational account plans to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

  • Lead sales activities across the value chain—from technical specification and product qualification to deal negotiation and post-sale support, including subcontractors.

  • Promote Hempel’s value proposition by living the Shared Commitments and delivering customer-focused, sustainable solutions.

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, negotiate framework agreements, and manage the full sales cycle in coordination with internal stakeholders.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and manage the opportunity pipeline using best-in-class processes to improve visibility and sales performance.

  • Capture and share market intelligence, customer insights, and trends to support innovation and competitive positioning.

  • Champion sustainability initiatives and support customers in adopting environmentally responsible coating solutions.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across R&D, Business Development, Services, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Solution Management.

  • Facilitate technical engagement and customer workshops, product trials, and new product launches in partnership with local sales teams.

  • Provide frontline support on technical issues and escalate to services or technical experts when necessary.

  • Ensure consistent global customer experience by coordinating regional efforts and aligning execution across markets.

  • Support quarterly business reviews, reporting, and other commercial activities in alignment with the Global Key Account Management team.

  • Maintain compliance with all Hempel policies and standards, including QHSE, business ethics, and governance.

What are we looking for?

Education / Background

  • Strong commercial background and mindset, engineering or chemical background a Plus

  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience in commercial functions, preferably in the Wind energy or Coatings industry.

  • Proven track record in managing global accounts, projects and complex customer relationships.

  • NACE/FROSIO, PMP certification or similar are a plus

  • Experience, attitude and behaviour are the most crucial requirements and will always be considered over educational background.

  • Fluent language relevant to area/segment (English/Korean)
