An innovative engineering company seeks an experienced developer to drive the front-end and API layer of its unique product, Synera Run. The role involves collaborating within a dynamic team to create intuitive interfaces and robust back-end solutions, ensuring seamless interaction with engineering tools. Candidates should have extensive experience in Typescript, web frameworks, and a background in Computer Science. A flexible work environment and generous development budget are among the perks offered.
Want to do more than just push code — like actually shape how engineers build tomorrow’s products? You’re a developer that eats bugs for breakfast and think building great software should feel like magic? Then this might be the adventure you’re looking for. Let’s build the future of engineering together.
WHAT YOU WILLDO
You’ll join Bohdan, Dima, Fabian, Rieke, Salar, Sophie, Sven, and Thorsten - the Chaotic Chimeras - our cross-functional product team that’s laying the groundwork for how engineers will build products in the future. We’re the team behind Synera Run, our web-based execution platform, and we’re bringing it together with our low-code desktop editor and customer portal into one cohesive and awesome experience.
Early on, you’ll take the lead on the API layer and frontend of Synera Run. That means shaping the way users interact with complex engineering automations, and making it feel simple, fast, and even fun. We're looking for someone who’s excited to own features end-to-end, explore new technologies, and help connect the dots between our different products.
If you love crafting thoughtful interfaces, enjoy moving between backend and frontend work, and thrive in a collaborative environment where ideas (and pizza ) are always shared - you’ll feel right at home with us.
What a potential week at Synera could look like
Monday: You kick off the week by syncing with fellow devs across teams: sharing breakthroughs, tackling tough bugs, or dropping a hot tip about that obscure TypeScript feature you mastered recently.
Tuesday: Time to dive into a juicy technical challenge: you and your team huddle up for a design session to figure out how to make a complex feature feel like magic for the user (without breaking everything else in the process).
Wednesday: You create a pull request for your current story that you’re proud of - clean, tested, and maybe even elegant. Then you help a teammate level up their code with thoughtful reviews (and just the right amount of emoji feedback ).
Thursday: It’s demo day! You show off what the team’s built during the sprint, watching features come together and getting high-fives (virtual or real) from across the company. You leave the sprint review feeling energized and maybe slightly over-caffeinated.
Friday: You sit in on a customer call with our success team and get real insights into what’s working, and what’s not. That afternoon, during your bi-weekly Friday project time, you spin up a quick prototype that just might solve their problem. It’s scrappy. It works. It’s awesome. On Monday you’ll show it to your PM to get it into the product.
In 6 months:
You get to know our code base and product.
You start to support other developers by completing reviews.
You take on stories of increasing complexity with increasing independence.
In 12 months:
You take responsibility for bigger features and epics.
You drive topics in an expert domain of yours.
Here is our team at last year’s summer event - we’d love to welcome you at the next one!
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
You will be a part of a collaborative team where you can actively shape processes and the product from the ground up.
You will solve real-world challenges for industry leaders like BMW Group, MAN or NASA.
You will take on a high level of responsibility right from the start.
You use your yearly personal development budget of 2.000€ or buy interesting books with our business account to improve in an area of your choice.
We don't believe in one-fits-all solutions and therefore let you decide when & where to work (as long as you have a residency in Germany).
Flexible public holidays - swap days off according to your values and beliefs!
Need time to recharge your batteries? No problem - talk to your team and take as much time off as you like. We don't count your vacation days as we trust all our team members to decide what's best for them and the company.
You benefit from a wide range of employee perks - including access to Wellpass and nilo - to support your physical, mental, and professional well-being.
In case you work remotely, we'll help you get set up at home and invite you to come and visit Bremen from time to time.
Spend time together with your colleagues during regular team events, virtual coffee breaks, or spontaneous afterworks :-) For summer & winter, we usually get together with the whole company to spend 2-3 days somewhere nice!
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.

You are proficient in Typescript and web application frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
You work with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
You have a degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
Ideally, you also have experience with WPF - and if you also know your way around ReactiveUI, that’s the cherry on top.
You might have experience as a solution or software architect.
You might have engineering background or worked on an engineering software.
P.S. Synera is a place where everyone can grow. So, however you identify and whatever background you bring with you, please apply if this is a role that would make you excited to come to work every day, and be prepared to share with us how your perspective will bring something unique and valuable to our Chaotic Chimeras team.
