Qualifikationen

  • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting (U.S. public company) and/or Big 4 auditing.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid project/time management capabilities.

Aufgaben

  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare periodic reports for filing with the SEC.
  • Research and document technical accounting and reporting topics.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated IFRS financial statements.
  • Enhance SOX controls for financial reporting.
  • Compose and update accounting policies and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams like Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Legal.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Liaise with operational stakeholders on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

Are you a seasoned Financial Reporting expert with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting experience, ready to take the next step in your career on an international level?

We are currently supporting a global company in its search for an Expert Financial Reporting to join their Düsseldorf headquarters. This position requires a relocation to Germany for at least two years, and the company offers comprehensive financial and organizational relocation support.

What you’ll do
  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Prepare periodic reports for filing with the SEC
  • Research and document technical accounting and reporting topics in accordance with U.S. GAAP / SEC guidance
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated IFRS financial statements
  • Perform and enhance the SOX controls in the areas of financial reporting and for group-level considerations
  • Compose and update accounting policies and process documentation
  • Collaborate closely with other teams such as Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Legal
  • Provide information to and coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Liaise with operational stakeholders in cross-departmental initiatives relating to accounting and reporting matters
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and provide special project assistance as needed

  • A positive “can do” attitude and sense of ownership
  • Fluent English (company language, German not required)
