Jobbeschreibung
What do we rely on at ENCAVIS? The sun. The wind. And on you.

Welcome to Encavis! Our world is all about the power of the sun, the wind and the more than 400 people across our group who are working together to shape the energy system of the future in order to ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations.

ENCAVIS Management GmbH & Co. KG is the holding company of Elbe BidCo GmbH, one of Europe's leading electricity producers from renewable energies. We operate a broadly diversified portfolio of over 330 onshore wind farms, ground‑mounted solar plants and battery storage facilities in 13 European countries with an installed capacity of more than 3.8 GW. And best of all, we are continuing to grow! Our subsidiaries, Stern Energy SpA, which operates throughout Europe as a specialist in technical services for photovoltaic systems, and Encavis Asset Management AG, which specialises in supporting institutional investors, complement our portfolio.

What does this mean for you? The opportunity to make a difference, to shape and change things. As part of a multinational team that enjoys helping to make the energy transition a success.

As an Energy Market Analyst, you will shape Encavis’ portfolio and risk strategy by developing hedging approaches and pricing models. You will analyze market drivers, quantify risks for PPA structures, and assess financial instruments such as options and swaps. Using your strong data skills, you will enhance reporting systems and build automation tools to optimise portfolio management. In a dynamic environment, you will contribute to digital solutions and support Encavis’ growth in the energy transition.

Your sunny outlook:
Hedging Strategy
  • Contribute actively to the design and enhancement of innovative hedging strategies by leveraging both fundamental and stochastic models.
  • Maintain close oversight of short‑term hedging approaches to ensure timely adjustments.
  • Stay informed on price movements and monitor key fundamental drivers shaping energy markets.
Risk Assessments
  • Quantify market, portfolio, and delivery structure risks, evaluating their impact on PPA structures through KPIs such as VaR and PaR.
  • Develop robust pricing models tailored for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Financial Instruments Analysis
  • Assess the economic benefits and potential impact of alternative hedging instruments, including options, battery tolling agreements, and swaps.
Reporting
  • Design and implement a comprehensive position reporting system alongside revenue tracking mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with development partners and the IT team to enhance existing software projects, driving optimal digitalisation of portfolio management processes.
Automation and Tool Development
  • Create advanced tools to automate hedging workflows, risk assessments, reporting and performance monitoring for greater efficiency and accuracy.
We'll get wind of that soon:
  • You hold an academic degree in natural sciences, economics, statistics, or a comparable discipline.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for the energy transition and renewable energy, ideally supported by more than one year of professional experience; practical exposure in Origination, Trading, or Risk Management is a plus.
  • Confidently extract and manipulate data from diverse sources such as APIs, CSV files, and databases, with solid expertise in SQL, R, and Python.
  • Showcase proficiency in data visualization using Power BI and libraries like ggplot2, plotly, matplotlib, and seaborn; advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, are highly advantageous.
  • Bring hands‑on experience in reporting and controlling renewable revenues.
  • Apply statistical analysis and leverage stochastic and fundamental models to derive insights on risk/return metrics; familiarity with meteorological and/or commodity market data is an asset.
  • Possess experience in pricing modelling within financial or energy markets.
  • You thrive as a collaborative team player while working independently with diligence and accountability.
  • You communicate effectively in both German and English, completing a well‑rounded professional profile.
