Level: Senior

You will make an impact in the following way:

• Line management of a multi-site team of several hundred international employees and partners in cross-functional agile teams
• Build skilled, well-composed teams, adapt processes and tools in compliance with regulations and define and roll out strategies for embedded software development
• Drive efficiency and on-time delivery by leveraging synergies through strategic supplier and partner selection, contract negotiation, and tailored collaboration models
• Development of competencies within Belden, and expansion through development and technology partnerships with external companies in various work models
• Responsible for efficient work models in embedded software development considering rigid cybersecurity and safety requirements
• Strategic and operative guidance for the embedded software platforms considering future trends and technologies in cooperation with product management and technology office
• Continuous and disruptive improvements of tool chain and processes as the basis of a portfolio wide release process
• Responsible for the compliance of processes and products with the required certifications

What you will bring:

• Education – MSc or PhD in Computer Science or comparable studies
• Experience– 10+ years of engineering leadership in large organizations, including second and third level management
• Knowledge & skills– Deep expertise in several of the following topics: Embedded software, distributed systems, communication, cybersecurity, functional safety, DevOps, open-source software and tools, experience in rigid yet efficient processes in embedded software development, including tool chains
• Personality– Visionary and strategic leader with a strong commitment to innovation, delivery, and efficiency who excels at aligning and communicating vision across cross-functional and international teams, maximizing synergies, and building strong networks to drive sustainable impact
• Language proficiency– Fluency in English and German
