Overview

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a CNC Programmer Engineer within our Engineering team to help support our Hydraulic business. Pacoma has built a reputation as a world-class hydraulic cylinder manufacturer through our superior quality control and innovation. Pacoma is a leading supplier of hydraulic cylinders for material handling, construction, agriculture, and transportation markets. If you join our team, your work will ensure customers across the world have high-quality products they can use to keep their businesses running.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and optimizing machining programs for turning-milling centers to ensure part precision and efficiency.
  • Develops machining processes, fixture designs, tool selections, and production process flow cards/work instructions based on product drawings and technical requirements.
  • Measure and define standard operating times for products, updating them in SAP.
  • Supervise and guide operators to strictly adhere to process documentation during machining.
  • Promptly resolve technical issues arising during production to minimize downtime.
  • Actively participate in process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Reduce tooling costs, optimize processes, and improve material utilization.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth introduction of new products into production lines while meeting expected quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of machining industry experience; programming experience with turning-milling centers preferred.
  • Familiar with machining characteristics of various metal materials and selection of common cutting tools.
  • Proficient in programming using CAD/CAM software and capable of drafting detailed process documents and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to mentor and train operators.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous improvement, capable of devising effective solutions in complex situations.
  • Open-minded toward new technologies, willing to learn and apply the latest machining techniques and tools.
