We are seeking a Carbon Expert to join our Markets team. Are you eager to learn and contribute to our mission for a more sustainable future? GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers worldwide to facilitate the trading of environmental products and provides advisory services to help organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies. As a Carbon Expert, you will play a key role in sourcing and onboarding carbon project supply, managing registration and issuance workflows, and closing commercial transactions with project developers and asset owners. You will collaborate closely with trading, legal, and operations teams to ensure successful execution and long-term commercial outcomes.
This is a full-time, Berlin-based position, available for an immediate start.
Drive GO2 Markets’ voluntary carbon origination by registering and onboarding carbon projects, managing registry processes, and closing commercial agreements with project owners.
Source and onboard carbon projects and assets, ensuring accurate documentation, verification, and registry compliance.
Identify and engage project developers and registrants across EMEA, South East Asia, and South America.
Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, capturing key terms and preparing agreements.
Close transactions and manage accounts with project developers and asset owners, achieving commercial targets and long-term value.
Structure offtake agreements and coordinate reviews with trading, legal, and operations teams.
Manage issuance workflows with registries and verification bodies, tracking submissions, timelines, and credit creation.
Onboard suppliers to internal platforms for credit management, commercial execution, and reporting.
Maintain strong partner relationships and updated records to support pipeline visibility, delivery, and operational alignment.
3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or origination, focused on voluntary carbon projects or carbon credits.
Experience engaging project developers and registrants across multiple regions, ideally including South East Asia and South America.
Proven ability to lead commercial negotiations, capture key terms, and coordinate with trading, legal, and operations teams.
Familiarity with carbon project registration, issuance processes, verification standards, and registry tracking.
Experience managing onboarding of carbon projects and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working with internal platforms for credit management and trading.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with project developers, registries, and internal stakeholders.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, focused on delivering reliable carbon supply and commercial outcomes.
