About the position

As Business Operations Manager, you are the organizational backbone of our business development and work closely and directly with the CEO.

You use AI and modern automation tools to optimize processes and drive strategic initiatives. In doing so, you act as a strategic mover and shaker at the interface between operations, business development, and the creation of offers and grant applications.

We are a tech company experiencing organic growth and developing sustainably year after year. This role offers you a lot of creative freedom, responsibility from the outset, and clear growth prospects, both professionally and in your role within the company.

Your tasks will include, among others:

Operations & CEO support

  • Workflow automation with appropriate tools (e.g., n8n)
  • Research, drafts, analyses for strategic development
  • Coordination of our iterative workflow with Jira or similar
  • Support for the CEO and strategic projects

Business Development

  • AI-supported market research
  • Customer meetings for retention and market exploration of new business areas
  • CRM maintenance and automation for lead nurturing

Event management and marketing

  • Organization of approximately 4-6 industry events per year
  • Event CRM and follow-up automation
  • Stakeholder networking

Offers, proposals & funding

  • Creating customer offers
  • Co-developing and coordinating R&D applications
  • Creating and coordinating pitch decks for customers
Your profile

Must-haves:

  • Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, or comparable experience
  • 2-4 years of experience (operations, consulting, startup/scale-up)
  • Excellent writing skills (German/English) – precise, persuasive, error-free
  • Hands‑on & structured – you get things done and automate proactively

Tech stack (must-have):

  • AI tools: Daily use of ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity
  • Automation: Ideally n8n, Zapier, or Make
  • Standard: Jira, spreadsheets (including formulas), Notion/Asana, Google Workspace
  • Bonus: CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive), Apps Script, Python basics

Personality:

  • Digital native – AI tools are second nature to you
  • Organizational skills – you maintain an overview in complex projects
  • Strong communication skills – confident in customer contact
  • Proactive – you recognize when action is needed and take it
