A leading regulatory consultancy in Germany is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Regulatory Affairs Division. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Plant Protection or Nutrition regulatory sectors, a relevant scientific degree, and strong client-facing skills. Qualifikationen

At Staphyt, our Regulatory Affairs Division helps clients navigate complex regulatory environments and successfully bring their chemical or biological substances and products to market. We support projects across Plant Protection & Nutrition, Biocides and REACh sectors. Skills, experience and geographical coverage are three essential assets of our team to enable our clients to achieve their regulatory affairs objectives.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) – Regulatory Affairs, based in Central or Easter Europe, to join our dynamic and supportive teams.

In this role, you will actively drive new business opportunities, and contribute to strengthening our Business Development activities in the Plant Protection & Nutrition sectors across Europe.

As a BD Manager, you will:

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with a strong focus on prospecting
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term partnerships with clients
  • Represent Staphyt at industry events and conferences
  • Provide strategic regulatory insight at early business stages
  • Drive quotes provision and contract negotiations, contribute to pricing strategies
  • Serve as the main commercial contact between clients and internal project teams
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory Managers, Scientific Experts, and the Marketing Team
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and the creation of BD materials
🎯 Your background and skills
  • A degree in a relevant scientific field
  • Min. 5 years of experience in the Plant Protection and/or Nutrition regulatory sectors within the EU
  • In-depth understanding of EU Plant protection and Plant nutrition products regulatory procedures (to advise clients effectively)
  • Strong client-facing experience and ability to build trusted relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Team spirit and a collaborative mindset in an international environment
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen

Familiarity with other regulatory frameworks (e.g. ‘REACH-like’, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics)

Experience with tools like IUCLID
