We are looking for a Backend Node.js Engineer (m/f/d) to be part of the development of our Business Intelligence Application. Our BI APP circle is embedded in our circle cluster “Customer & Shop Intelligence”, which is in charge of driving a personalized and inspirational shop experience.

Our BI-APP Team uses data from across the company and transforms it into logics & scores, used to provide the best personalized user shopping experience. You will work at the heart of our recommendation and sorting logics with deep insights into the algorithms behind that.

What you will do

• Develop smart BI solutions utilizing Node.js with TypeScript
• Manage extensive data volumes efficiently, employing Google BigQuery and integrating seamlessly with Business Intelligence systems
• Build and enhance high-traffic APIs, ensuring minimal latencies
• Work closely with experienced developers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to improve existing features and introduce new ones
• Encourage innovative ideas and creations - a flat organizational structure, and fast decision-making processes ensure ample room for contribution and growth
• Draft architectural decisions together with our Tech Lead and explore new technologies

Who you are

• You have at least 3 years of experience working with Node.js
• You have recent and practical experience with TypeScript
• You have proficiency in working with SQL or No-SQL databases
• You write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, and actively maintain the quality of the codebase
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are used to working in an English-speaking and agile environment
• You raise the quality of the software you work on

Nice to have

• You have experience with Elasticsearch
• You have experience with Google Big Query
• You have familiarity with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like Datadog
• You have recent and practical experience with React, VueJs, or similar frontend frameworks
