Role

The Regional Applications Manager, DACH (Germany & Austria) (f/m/d) is responsible for managing and developing a regional team of Application Consultants across Germany and Austria. The role combines change management, people leadership, coaching, and strategic business development to transform the Application Consultant function into a key driver of customer engagement and sales growth. This position is part of the Commercial Organization located in Germany & Austria (DACH) and will be fully remote. You will be part of the DACH Commercial Team and report to the National Sales Manager responsible for leading the regional Application Consultant team and ensuring alignment with sales strategy and annual business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Support achievement of annual and strategic sales targets in close collaboration with Sales Managers, ensuring strong market penetration in the DACH region.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing demonstrations, installations, training, troubleshooting, and managing escalations.
  • Act as a change agent, transforming the team into a proactive growth driver by introducing Standard Work, DBS tools, and best practices.
  • Lead, coach, mentor and support a regional team of Application Consultants across Germany and Austria, driving engagement, development, and high performance.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Service, and Customer Care to deliver customer-centric solutions.
Essential requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
  • Multiple years of experience in application or field support within Life Sciences/MedTech.
  • Proven people management experience, including team leadership, coaching, and staff development.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and organizational transformation.
  • Financial business acumen
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Fluency in German and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 60%, including frequent overnight stays within Germany and Austria.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (class B)
Nice to have
  • Practical experience in histopathology workflows and laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitor activities in cancer diagnostics.
  • Collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical networks, or professional associations.
