Region: North/East Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover, Braunschweig)

How you’ll add value

As an Account/Territory Sales Manager, you will drive growth by selling Azenta’s consumables and instrumentation portfolio to sample management, biobanking, and the broader life sciences market. Using your market expertise, you will expand our Sample Management share, build strong client relationships, and grow our network directly and through distribution partners.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and execute an effective business growth plan aligned with SMS strategic initiatives and best practices for sales funnel management – focusing on growth opportunities, including new market penetration, whether directly or in collaboration with channel partners.
  • Achieve annual sales goals within the assigned territory through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of client accounts.
  • Deliver annual and quarterly sales targets with regular reporting supported via the CRM tool, Salesforce.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Azenta’s Consumables and Instrument portfolio, clearly articulating how we minimize risk, improve sample quality, and enhance access for clients’ valuable samples, materials, and drug products.
  • Report on pipeline and sales activities on a monthly basis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities. Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth.
  • Follow up on e‑commerce and inbound leads, working to convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Represent Azenta at account events, such as tabletop meetings, seminars, and industry events, acting as a brand ambassador either independently or alongside distribution partners.
  • Support regional distributor partners by building relationships and assisting in customer meetings, events, and training when required.
  • Attend and facilitate exhibitions.
  • Maintain and increase face‑to‑face customer interaction through efficient territory planning.
  • Gather customer intelligence and feedback to enable proactive participation in product enhancement and new product development.
  • Ensure accurate management of CRM records (SFDC) within the territory.
  • Maintain the highest standards of product knowledge and customer communication.
  • Provide timely supply of product samples and quotations to customers.
What you’ll bring
  • You must have a minimum of a BSc in a Life Science subject such as: Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry and Medical Science or associated fields.
  • Hands‑on sales experience in the Life Science Market ideally in consumable sales market, knowledge and experience within sample management is preferred.
  • Competent in demonstrating instrumentation and articulating on sample solution workflow.
  • You will have experience working to a target and are able to manage your time effectively to achieve the company’s goals.
  • You must be a determined, self‑motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to convey technical information.
  • Maintain excellent awareness of the laboratory marketplace including monitoring competitor activity and market trends.
  • Fluent in German and English language (B2 or above).
  • Preferably you live in the area of: Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover, Braunschweig.
