Description

As a leader, you will oversee the departments of Accounting, Controlling, Human Resources, Legal, and Procurement. In this demanding role, you will be a member of FLOCERT's leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director / CEO.

You will guide and support your teams in defining and implementing department strategies aligned with FLOCERT's overall strategy, collaborating closely with your Director peers and our Supervisory Board. You will also serve as a key contact for our shareholder, Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International e.V. (‘FI’).

Additionally, you will be involved in developing the company's structures and processes further, working closely with operations, business relations, and IT teams.

The ideal candidate is reliable, value-driven, communicative, and has an affinity for digitalization.

Your responsibilities
  • Manage and support the leads of the 5 Central Service teams in daily operations and development
  • Support and advise the Managing Director and peer Directors on financial, legal, and commercial matters
  • Align departmental strategies with FLOCERT's overall strategy
  • Prepare reports for the Managing Director, oversight bodies, and shareholders
  • Develop strategic plans including budgets, business cases, and investments
  • Monitor liquidity and financial health
  • Identify and lead improvement projects within Central Services
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions
  • Take over roles in Fairtrade oversight bodies as needed
Your qualifications, experience, and skills
  • University degree in business administration or law
  • Recent professional experience in the relevant areas, preferably internationally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Motivational leadership with intercultural and communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and a results-driven approach
  • Strong interest in business digitalization and transformation
  • Experience with financial statements per German Commercial Code (HGB), both individual and consolidated
  • Fluent in German and English, additional languages like Spanish are a plus
