Our hospital has 33 Acute Care Beds, 96 Long Term Care Beds, and 4 Restorative Beds. Clinical services include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, maternity, Cancer Clinic and Dialysis. The hospital has a busy Emergency and Outpatient Department and is the only collection site for community patients. This is a working level position utilizing technical skills and judgment performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures in the Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and Specimen Procurement departments, within the scope of practice of a Medical Laboratory Technologist. This position requires a 30-minute response time to site for on call duties.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
