The University of Ottawa's animal facility network spans four sites, covering about 100,000 sq ft of vivarium, procedural, and surgical space. Reporting to the Senior Director, Animal Care and Veterinary Services, the incumbent manages all Animal Facilities at uOttawa and affiliated institutes, overseeing planning, human resources, financial management, quality systems, and service optimization.
The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, developing operational policies, supporting scientific programs, and implementing best practices in animal care.
The candidate should demonstrate strong planning, initiative, client service orientation, and teamwork skills.
