As the organization prepares for upcoming launches and rapid growth, it faces an equally significant opportunity to strengthen its reputation, credibility, and influence across a complex national healthcare landscape.

Position Summary

The Regional Vice President – General Manager, Canada will lead this evolution. This executive will hold full P&L responsibility for the Canadian affiliate and act as the architect of Incyte’s long-term success in Canada, shaping strategy, building trust with government and healthcare institutions, and positioning the company as a respected and innovative partner within the Canadian biopharmaceutical ecosystem.

This role calls for an entrepreneurial, visionary leader – someone who combines strategic foresight with operational excellence, inspires teams, and exemplifies Incyte’s values of integrity, scientific rigor, and commitment to patients. As Canada will be an important core markets in the International region, the GM will also be a member of the International Leadership Team where he/she can influence the strategic direction of the region.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for Incyte Canada, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives while adapting to local dynamics.
  • Lead the affiliate to achieve ambitious growth and profitability goals through the successful launch and lifecycle management of Incyte’s portfolio.
  • Anticipate future market challenges, driving innovation, agility, and competitiveness in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ensure organizational readiness for upcoming launches by integrating medical, commercial, and operational excellence.
Market Access & Government Affairs
  • Strengthen Incyte’s presence and reputation with federal and provincial health authorities, payers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead market access strategies and reimbursement negotiations that balance patient access, innovation, and sustainable business growth.
  • Influence policy discussions and represent Incyte as a credible, trusted voice in the evolution of the Canadian healthcare landscape.
Organizational Development & People Leadership
  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams capable of delivering strategic and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
  • Mentor the leadership team to ensure alignment, succession readiness, and long-term organizational strength.
Reputation & Corporate Visibility
  • Elevate Incyte’s profile and awareness across Canada, strengthening its image as a science-driven, ethical, and patient-focused organization.
  • Engage actively with key opinion leaders, patient associations, and professional societies to enhance understanding and advocacy for Incyte’s therapies.
  • Ensure excellence in representation at national and international conferences, symposia, and industry forums.
Governance & Compliance
  • Uphold Incyte’s standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance across all operations.
  • Ensure full adherence to Canadian laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Contribute to the International Leadership Team, representing Canada as a strategic growth driver within the broader Incyte organization.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or business.
  • Extensive and progressive leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including P&L ownership at affiliate or regional level.
  • Experience in sales & marketing of Rx medicines including analytics, KAM, and market access
  • Knowledge in oncology/hematology/dermatology or specialty care preferred
  • Strong understanding of pricing, regulatory, and reimbursement procedures
  • Proven managerial ability across multiple business functions
  • Track record in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
  • Strong management information system/sales management system knowledge
  • Experience liaising with authorities and specialist healthcare professionals
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving
  • Robust, resilient, and internationally oriented
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset.
