Job summary
A leading energy solutions firm is seeking an experienced Analyst in Supply and Trading in Edmonton. This role involves analyzing market fundamentals, running proprietary models, and developing pricing strategies for energy products. Candidates should have a strong background in quantitative modeling with at least 5 years of experience, complemented by a relevant degree and proficiency in Python and R. This position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $170,000.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining quantitative models.
- Experience modeling gas and power commodity prices.
- Proficient in Python, R and data analysis.
- Advanced understanding of finance and risk management principles.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with plant operations to understand fleet complexities.
- Analyze market fundamentals for asset outage planning.
- Run and maintain proprietary analytical models.
- Develop and price customized products and services.
