Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - Long Term Care, Permanent Part-Time

The Village of Aspen Lake in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking two dedicated Permanent Part-Time Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to join our Long Term Care team.

• Maintain registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Hold Heart Save Level CPR certification
• Prioritize tasks effectively, manage stress, and stay calm under pressure
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, respecting residents' quality of life
• Follow care plans and report changes in residents' well-being
• Understand relevant policies, legislation, and regulations, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, and OSHA
• Support a resident-centered social culture and provide high-quality personal care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and advocate for residents
• Coordinate with physicians and update care plans using current systems
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the RPN role
• Align with organizational values and the Customer Experience Credo

• MDS credentials
• Experience working with residents with Dementia
• Knowledge of palliative assessments and end-of-life support
• Familiarity with policies, procedures, and regulations in long-term care
