Job Title: Strategic Initiatives Project Manager
The Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC) is the professional non-profit association representing midwives in BC. Our mission is to sustain the midwifery profession through advocacy, continuous development, and enhancement of services, positioning midwives as primary care providers.
With over 400 dedicated members, MABC strives to ensure the highest standards of perinatal and sexual health care. We provide access to education and resources that support midwives in delivering exceptional care, expanding access to midwifery services, and promoting the development and sustainability of midwifery services in BC.
We are excited to announce a new position within our newly developed Strategic Initiatives Department: Strategic Initiatives Project Manager. This role will help increase the professional and political profile of midwives within the BC health care system and advocate for excellence in reproductive, newborn, and infant health care. Position Overview: Directly reports to the Strategic Officer, the Strategic Project Manager is responsible for overseeing strategic projects within the Midwives Association of BC. This role focuses on managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with MABC's strategic goals for 2025-2030, and driving initiatives that enhance the professional practice of Registered Midwives (RMs). The Strategic Project Manager will play a key role in expanding access to midwifery services, promoting the development and sustainability of midwifery, increasing the professional profile of midwives, and advocating for excellence in reproductive, newborn, and infant health care. Additionally, this role involves translating clinical knowledge into practice to ensure evidence-based care and continuous improvement in midwifery services.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or non-profit sectors.
Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare systems, midwifery practices, and clinical knowledge translation is an asset.
