What To Expect

• Assessing, accepting, and declining moderate to complex new business submissions within your assigned underwriting authority.
• Re-underwriting and negotiating renewals and policy endorsements.
• Ordering inspections, financial reports, or other underwriting information for risk analysis.
• Negotiating risk acceptance terms with brokers via various communication methods.
• Participating in production calls with brokerage offices as needed.
• Providing technical support to brokers.
• Participating in weekly internal production meetings.
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.
• Contributing to profitable business growth by analyzing risks and engaging with brokers to meet their needs.
• Demonstrating strong market knowledge and building industry relationships.
• Making underwriting and pricing decisions on individual risks and within broker portfolios.
• Accountability for the proper rating of mid-market property insurance transactions.

What You Bring

• University degree, college diploma, or CIP designation.
• 3-5 years of Commercial Automobile Fleet & Garage underwriting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Professional, friendly, and courteous interaction skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy environment.
• Team player adaptable to change.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and sales skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain broker relations.

Salary range : $50,200 - $92,500.
