Job Title: Operations Manager
Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a remarkable Operations Manager for the Fairfield Edmonton International Airport, Edmonton, AB.
Job Purpose:
Plan and manage the hotel's core functions (Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, F&B) to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. Responsible for short and long-term planning and daily operations, developing budgets, marketing plans, and objectives. Provide warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Human Resources to attract, retain, and motivate employees; including hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, marketing plans, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
- Implement company programs, develop local procedures, and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and all laws to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Follow emergency procedures and train staff to ensure safety of guests, staff, and assets.
- Promote accident prevention programs to minimize liabilities.
- Oversee maintenance and sanitation of hotel areas to protect assets and ensure quality service.
- Act as General Manager in their absence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards.
Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex information and make decisions with minimal guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good literacy skills for reports and policies.
- Visual and mobility abilities to inspect and move around the hotel.
