Job summary
A leading video streaming company in Canada is seeking an experienced professional to design and manage their data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience building reliable data backends and expertise in AWS services. This remote position offers a salary range of 100-120k CAD, depending on experience, and is open to applicants located in Canada or holding Canadian PR.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building large scale reliable data backends.
- Experience in distilling complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- 2+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services.

- Improve quality of internal data products.

This role is with a company that is a leader in the video streaming industry. This role is great for someone located in Canada looking for a remote role. You will be working in PST working hours.
- Designing, building, and running the data infrastructure to support the organization's growing data needs.
- Promoting best practices, and improving the quality of the internal data products inside the video organization.
- Suggesting, and defending solutions to make the video data platform best in class.
- Develop scalable RESTful services
- Manage large scale AWS based infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience building large scale reliable data backends, in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience distilling complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Experience promoting best practices by example, and mentoring junior engineers.
- 2+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services, S3, EMR, Redshift, etc.
Salary range: 100-120k depending on experience
