Position Summary — The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also ensure the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.

• Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, including participation in recruitment and interviewing, training all associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow, and ensuring their execution.
• Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers.
• Develop a functional and collaborative relationship with the Professional Services District Manager and with Store Management (Store Manager and store team).
• Operate the Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets. Manage efficient scheduling, ongoing associate assessment, and periodic performance reviews.
• Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and address deficiencies identified in reports (P&L, FSA visits, POAs, etc.) or by audits and DM visits.
• Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy by following OBWs/SOPs (receiving inventory management, disposal of expired products); address customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Maintain the Pharmacy's appearance and a hospital-clean environment for associates and patients; uphold professional image per Workstation Standardization and 6S Audit.
• Cascade communication from the SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC staff.
• Execute all programs assigned to the Pharmacy by the Professional Services team.
• Develop and establish collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.). Ensure Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours. Supervise and support the OTC manager in daily duties. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
• Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
• Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models and counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products. Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.
• Operate Pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems) and protect patient privacy at all times while following provincial regulations. Ensure patients receive all eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific patient needs. Ensure Pharmacy is open during posted business hours.
