Job summary
A consulting firm is seeking a remote NAS Migration Specialist for a 6-month contract to support data migration projects. The role demands expertise in storage architectures and migration processes, utilizing tools like Komprise and SnapMirror. Candidates should have strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Pay is up to $85 per hour.

- Conduct comprehensive discovery, inventory, and assessment of existing storage environments (NetApp, SMB/NFS, etc.).
- Design and implement scalable, high-availability, and optimized storage architectures (SAN/NAS/Object/Hybrid).
- Develop migration strategies, runbooks, and scripts for various data types.
- Execute migrations using tools such as Komprise, Robocopy, SnapMirror, and custom scripts.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and permissions mapping throughout the migration process.
- Collaborate with application owners, data owners, and cross-functional teams for cutover planning and validation.
- Support change management, documentation, and transition to operations (TTO).
- Provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and support during and after migration.
