Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in derivatives trading or capital markets law ideally from a major law firm, financial institution, and/or in-house legal team.
• Deep familiarity with Canadian derivatives regulation and related securities law frameworks.
• Actively licensed and in good standing as a lawyer in a Canadian province.

Responsibilities

• Draft negotiate and advise a variety of derivatives and trading agreements.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance and transactional issues.
• Support clients in understanding and managing legal and regulatory risks.
