Do you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a proven track record of providing clinical oversight and mentorship? If so, Lifemark Health Group invites you to join our growing team as the Ontario Mental Health Lead!

The Ontario Mental Health Lead is a dynamic role that combines direct clinical practice (3-4 days/week) with clinical leadership responsibilities (one to two-day equivalency/week), guiding our expanding team of mental health professionals and services across Ontario. As the ON MH Lead, you will partner with the provincial operations manager to implement clinical standards, oversee new staff onboarding, monitor quality and outcomes, and provide clinical mentoring and professional development to the MH team. You'll also collaborate with regional psychologist clinical leads and the National mental health leadership team on national mental health initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership to a team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers.
  • Onboarding & Mentorship: Oversee onboarding and mentorship for new Mental Health clinicians.
  • Professional Development: Develop and support professional growth and development plans for all team members.
  • Clinical Supervision & Quality Assurance: Provide support for clinical supervision and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the mental health regional operations manager, regional clinical Mental Health leads, and National Mental Health leadership.
  • Direct Clinical Services: Conduct interdisciplinary rehabilitation assessments and mental health diagnostic assessments.
  • Psychological Treatment: Provide individual and group psychotherapy within interdisciplinary teams.

More about the Practice Lead Role:

The Mental Health Lead offers clinical oversight of Mental Health services within the Ontario region while also offering direct clinical services as a psychologist. You will work closely with Regional and Clinic Directors to ensure the quality of Mental Health services at Lifemark, advise on clinical standards and processes, and provide clinical oversight, mentorship, and positive leadership for Mental Health Providers (MHPs).

Key responsibilities in this area include:

Clinical Support & Mentorship:

  • Foster a supportive environment, conduct regular check-ins, and assist clinics in creating a positive atmosphere for MHPs.
  • Oversee onboarding, provide clinical case consultation, and offer ongoing mentorship.
  • Oversee quality assurance checks and provide feedback for clinical performance reviews.
  • Enhancing Clinical Productivity:
  • Foster a high-performing workplace, support underproductive MHPs, and offer coaching and mentorship.
  • Clinical Leadership & Development:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, educate regional stakeholders, support continuous improvement initiatives, and implement new projects.

Specific Tasks:

  • Host regular regional meetings for all MHPs.
  • Attend National Practice Lead Meetings.
  • Provide regular office hours for case consultations.
  • Implement stay and exit interviews.
  • Participate in the hiring process.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What you'll bring:

Education and Licensure:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology (or master's degree in psychology) from an accredited university.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
  • Declared competency in clinical psychology; specialization in adult population preferred (health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology is an asset).
  • Supervised Practice psychologists are welcome to apply.

Applied Experience:

  • Progressive experience in clinical leadership and team management.
  • Expertise in psychological assessments with adults, including diagnostic assessments.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatments (CBT, CPT, ACT).
  • Experience in measurement-based care and working in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience delivering telehealth and virtual care.

Additional Abilities:

  • Capacity to lead, engage, and mobilize others.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated work ethics, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.
