Veraxx Engineering Corporation, a By Light Company, is an engineering services company specializing in modeling, simulation, and training solutions. Our services include hardware, software, system engineering, requirements assessments, system development, integration, testing, documentation, and customer support. We have extensive expertise in flight simulation hardware and software development, computer architecture, tactical environments, interoperability (HLA/DIS), avionics systems, and real-time embedded systems. Veraxx is the OEM for the Marine Corps aircrew flight simulation interoperability network and tactical environments. We have recently secured several long-term contracts to develop and upgrade domestic and international flight and aircrew training systems.

• Innovative self-starter with strong hardware skills.
• Analysis, design, documentation, hardware/software integration, and testing of hardware components and assemblies.
• Work on a variety of flight simulators, developing and integrating hardware such as avionics, cockpits, interfaces to audio, visual, motion, and I/O systems, and Instructor Operator Stations (IOS).

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 6-15 years of hardware design and integration experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of Hardware Engineering Concepts & Processes.
• Experience in Systems Integration.

Candidates with several or more of the following are preferred:

• Experience with avionics interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429.
• Knowledge of commercial interfaces such as RS-232/422, Ethernet, Discrete I/O, and Analog I/O.
• Experience with AC and DC power distribution.
• Familiarity with analog and digital video interfaces.
• Knowledge of MIL Spec and commercial cable design.
• Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering irons.
• Understanding of military aircraft systems and avionics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
