About Goodman School of Business

The Goodman School of Business, named after the respected business leader Ned Goodman, is an AACSB accredited business school. About the Department of Finance, Operations, and Information Systems (FOIS)

The Department of Finance, Operations, and Information Systems (FOIS) has 28 full-time faculty members and is one of four departments in the Goodman School of Business. Within the department, the Operations Management area offers specializations in the BBA and MBA programs, while also participating in the thesis-based MSc Program. Recent graduates from the MSc have gone on to get their PhDs at leading universities or found research-focused positions in industry. The Department also offers a concentration in Financial Analytics within the new BSc in Data Sciences and Analytics program that is housed in the Faculty of Mathematics & Science.

About the position

The Goodman School of Business, Brock University invites applications for a Probationary Tenure Track position in Operations Management at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This appointment will commence January 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach 4 half-credit courses or equivalent per academic year. The position is open to all areas of Operations Management including Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Management Science, and quantitative methods – including quantitative empirical data analysis and/or mathematical theorem-proving. The ability to conduct research and teach courses in the field of Supply Chain Management is an asset.

Qualifications

Brock University seeks a candidate with a strong commitment to high quality research and teaching in the field of Operations Management. The preferred candidate will hold a PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations Research, or a related discipline by the date of appointment. Applicants who obtained PhDs from non-business schools should clearly indicate how their qualifications have prepared them to teach within a business school. Prior relevant teaching experience is also preferred. The position entails developing and sustaining high-quality research as well as teaching and learning environments for students. Position level and salary are commensurate with the applicant’s overall qualifications and could be at the rank of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor.
