Indigenous Community‑Based Lecturer: Academic Success (INTS 100)
Job summary
The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the College of Arts and Science to teach a community-based course on Strategies for Academic Success on Moosomin First Nation. Applicants are expected to have a Master’s degree or equivalent and a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures. The position involves scheduled in-person lectures with designated preparation and marking time. Applications are encouraged from all qualified candidates, especially Indigenous individuals.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Relevant teaching or professional experience required.
- Knowledge of socio-economic factors in educating Indigenous students.
Responsibilities
- Teach INTS 100.3 (Strategies for Academic Success) during Term 1.
- Schedule classes Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Adapt teaching methods for community-based courses.
