Job summary

A government agency in the Regional District of Central Okanagan, Kelowna, is seeking a culinary professional to lead kitchen operations. Responsibilities include estimating costs for food supplies, supervising kitchen staff, developing new recipes, and ensuring quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. This position is on-site only, requiring strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
