Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturer in Oakville is seeking a Joining Engineer to oversee and optimize joining processes in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a college diploma in metallurgical engineering, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include supervising quality checks and leading a team to ensure compliance with corporate standards. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts and potential travel to the USA. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience focused on joining and sealing operations.
  • Must be able to work all shifts; days, afternoons, midnights, and weekends.
  • Immediate eligibility to travel to the USA, if required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality checks of joints and control processes.
  • Train personnel as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Coordinator.
  • Review and analyze process and quality data.

Skills

Problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Ability to read prints

Education

College diploma in metallurgical engineering
Bachelor's degree in engineering
