A key member of the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) group, responsible for providing risk oversight on counterparty credit risk from derivatives and securities financing transactions within the bank's global capital markets businesses.
The CCR group is a centralized function that identifies signs of credit deterioration, measures, monitors, and reports various metrics related to counterparty credit risk, and escalates exposures beyond risk appetite. The role also involves staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Provide oversight and analysis of counterparty credit risk, including risk mitigation insights on correlation risks such as wrong-way risk, collateral quality, concentration, and liquidity risks.
- Monitor exposure in securities financing transactions, OTC derivatives, and FX transactions.
- Advise Credit Officers on distressed counterparties and identify emerging risks.
- Analyze market events affecting portfolio and counterparty risk; support regulatory and executive reporting.
- Build strong relationships with Management, Credit, Banking, Front Office, and other stakeholders.
- Handle regulatory reporting and contribute to ad-hoc requests.
- Manage CCR policies and develop reporting systems and business intelligence tools.
Do you have the skills to succeed? We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 5-10 years of experience in market or credit risk of traded products.
- Strong understanding of counterparty credit risk metrics and drivers.
- Knowledge of derivative valuation, trading, and markets.
- Excellent communication, quantitative, and analytical skills; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Relationship-building and strategic influencing skills.
- University degree in a business-related field.
- Desired: CFA/FRM/PRM certification.
- Assets: Power BI, SQL, Unix knowledge.
