We are in search of a highly skilled and inspirational culinary leader for the position of Wilde Head Chef, responsible for driving the vision, culture and success of the Wilde on 27, our rooftop restaurant. This position will manage all aspects of the Wilde kitchen and associates, ensuring the quality preparation and presentation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with company standards and sanitation/health regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of enthusiasm and collaboration, with a keen ability to build and maintain a team of top performers, ensuring the highest level of food creativity & quality.
A Red-Seal certified, seasoned professional chef with a flair for innovation possessing a minimum of two years’ experience leading a kitchen in an upscale restaurant operation in a downtown city center.
Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of culinary professionals, passionate about helping them develop technique and artistry.
An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot, resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed, including handling customer or staff situations that may occur outside of typical work hours.
Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
Able to combine strategic planning and day-to-day management.
Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
