Job description

Suffolk Primary Care is seeking a WholesaleLogistics Assistant wanted to provide logistical, administrative and governancesupport to our Wholesale operations based at Oakfield Surgery in Newmarket.

You will work closely with our smallwholesale team to ensure the everyday smooth operation, efficient orderprocessing, inventory management and customer service. The role involvesreceiving, checking and handling (packing) of pharmaceutical products.

No previous experience in this role isrequired, however the role requires an individual who is motivated and keen tolearn. This position will require good numeracy skills and basic knowledge ofExcel and Word. Good communicationskills are essential. The successful applicant will be self-motivating and willingto accept new tasks and challenges as the wholesale operation grows. Accuracyand attention to detail are essential qualities.

The working hours required will be between 20-30 hours per week.

We will be shortlisting for interview stage week commencing 6th October.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that customer orders arereceived on schedule.

Maintaining accurate and up to daterecords including purchase and sales ledger and stock control Sheets.

Work to despatch targets.

Issuing of invoices and checking ofsupplier/client statements.

Manage stock control systems andreconciliation data.

Check room temperatures are kept atagreed parameters and daily records maintained.

Carry out wholesale activities incompliance with Good Distribution Practice.

Work closely with the Manager toprocess wholesale orders, including associated administration such as entering orders onto system, creditcontrol, managing returns, ensuring batch control and over seeing shipping.

Oversee goods received; checking andrecording.

Oversee goods dispatched; includingpacking, checking and labelling.

Recording of financials through the raising ofpurchase orders, invoices and or credit notes.

Ensure all business finance relatedinformation required is passed to the finance team.

Managing returns and complaintsreceived.

Work within and keep up to date ourbusiness processes and standard operating procedures.

Fully participate in businessself-inspection on a monthly basis.

Monitor licence holders eligibilityto trade on a monthly basis.

Undertake bone fides checks annuallyto verify the legitimacy of both Suppliers and Customers.

Receive and act on MHRA alerts andproduct recalls.
