Job summary

A local government in Ontario is seeking a Water Safety Awareness Promoter to educate residents on water safety, organize community events, and lead initiatives throughout Norfolk County. The ideal candidate will have experience in aquatic safety instruction, strong communication and leadership skills, as well as certifications in first aid and lifeguarding. This role requires a reliable vehicle for travel and a commitment to community engagement through various channels. Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution at the time of application.

Qualifications

  • One year experience as a Supervising Instructor Guard required.
  • Valid Ontario Class G license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Must have a criminal record check dated within the last 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Educate residents and visitors on water safety.
  • Plan and conduct water safety events and activities.
  • Engage community through social media campaigns.
  • Supervise student staff during water safety initiatives.

Standard First Aid with C.P.R. Level C., A.E.D.
