Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics
    • Identify root cause of problems in accordance to the client request(s).
    • Select the adequate service in accordance with the partner brand policy while meeting the client request.
    • Propose a solution to solve the issue.
    • Identify the spare parts needed to repair the evaluated piece.
  • Dismantling
    • Dismantle the timepiece and its movement.
    • Remove the strap or the bracelet.
    • Separate and dismantle the movement / dial / hands from the case components.
    • Dismantle the watches case components.
  • Case Preparation
    • Install and assemble the watches case components in preparation of the encasing of the movement.
    • Check and ensure waterproofness of the case.
    • When requested perform complete polishing.
  • Movement Repair
    • Analyze and decide proper methodology to repair any calibre needed.
    • Use or develop adequate tools or processes to correct issues during repair.
    • Sample of movements to be repaired: 7750 ETA or Selita; 2892 ETA or Selita; Quartz calibers from Ronda and ETA.
    • When necessary, resolve issues related to limited (or no) access to spare parts by fixing existing components.
  • Encasing
    • Install the dial and the hands prior to encasing the movement and closing the watch.
    • Perform a first Quality Control to ensure that the piece is in working order.
  • Maintenance And Organization of the Workshop
    • Maintain tools and equipment: ensure all equipment used are calibrated and maintained at a high standard.
    • Maintain a cleaned, organized and safe working area.
Our ideal candidate has…
  • Watchmaking diploma or certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in watchmaking (preferred).
  • Working experience with luxury brands is a plus.
  • Watch and jewellery polishing experience is a plus.
  • High level of dexterity and focus to handle small parts, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide a high level of quality.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using adequate processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of English and French. Proficient English is required for communication with employees and managers outside of Quebec.

  • The Polishing and Refinishing Studio is equipped with Swiss equipment for complex refinishing techniques to restore luster and shape of cases and bracelets (e.g., lap polishing, satin brushing, case restoration).
  • The Cleaning Room houses ultrasonic machines for delicate movement cleaning using programmed sequences and cleaning formulas.
  • The Watchmaking Laboratory features ergonomic benches and precision measuring equipment to calibrate and time movements to exacting standards.
