Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the warehouse, scheduling, quality and procurement team members, includes performance and attendance management, time management, overtime, team member development and policy compliance.
  • Demonstrates WinCup OPERA values.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Inputs inter-plant orders / shipments and coordinates with vendors.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Verifies and schedules preventative maintenance on forklifts by both operators and vendors.
  • Responsible for managing the annual warehouse inventory process.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members, following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training new team members.
  • Works with quality control personnel to ensure product quality and takes appropriate action(s) when necessary, based on the information they provide
  • Manages the Safety Quality and Food (SQF) program and Follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports and shift employees.
  • Responsible for providing a safe work environment and participating in plant safety program including safety audits and safety initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse, Production or Plant Manager
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager and Production Manager.

Education and Experience

Education - Bachelor’s Degree - Logistics or comparable work experience

Experience - Five to ten years of warehouse supervision, preferably in a food and or beverage grade manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • While performing duties of this job, employee is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach or grasp with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Exposed to extreme heat. In-doors in a manufacturing environment that may/may not be air conditioned.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, facial net (if deemed necessary), hearing protection and safety glasses.
  • Work with hourly team members in an 8+ or 12+ hour day shift.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
