We are seeking a Senior Residential Practitioner to join our dedicated Waking Nights team, supporting children and young people aged 11 to 19 with autism and learning difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a family-style children\'s home and associated school that offers a rich, engaging curriculum tailored to each individual\'s learning and sensory needs.

Our service supports 10 children in residence and educates up to 20 young people in a nurturing and safe environment. We have high aspirations for every child and young person, and we work relentlessly to foster strong, trusting relationships that help them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

We\'re looking for someone who brings:

  • An understanding of the developmental needs of young people (physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and educational).
  • A valid full UK driving licence (essential).
  • A minimum of 2 years\' experience in a leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge of Social Care Services and partnership working with families and professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Flexibility and the ability to motivate and support others.
  • Supporting the Manager and Deputy Manager in overseeing the staff team and ensuring smooth night-time operations.
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with each child\'s individual care plan.
  • Working collaboratively with families, social workers, and external agencies.
  • Leading on staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
  • Overseeing administrative and reporting tasks to maintain accurate records.
