Job summary

A student entrepreneurship society in Ontario is seeking a VP Design to drive creative direction and branding. In this role, you will lead design initiatives, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure a consistent brand presence across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of graphic design experience, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a passion for storytelling through design. This is a hands-on position that values initiative and open communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a graphic and/or visual designer.
• Intermediate knowledge in the use of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledgeable in the latest design trends and techniques.

Job description

As part of the Design team, you will have the opportunity to elevate the branding and creative direction within EntSoc. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to bring ideas to life and develop ideas that will impact the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

As the VP Design, you will be responsible for:

• Organize and run design sprints
• Ensure consistency among all design projects through the development and implementation of a design system
• Work with the VP of Technical to create product road maps
• Coordinate user research and user testing efforts
• Communicate with partners on the status of ongoing projects
• Ensure that the EntSoc brand is conveyed throughout marketing and design
• The VP of Design should also be willing to get their hands dirty and design with the team if they need to

We are looking for a VP Design who can show us that they have:

• 2+ years of direct work or volunteer experience as a graphic and/or visual designer
• Intermediate knowledge in the use of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledgeable in the latest design trends, methods, and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of online optimization best practices
• Strong knowledge of printing/publishing procedures and standards
• A great communicator and story-teller
• Comfortable with iterative design with detailed discussion
• Takes initiative and values open communication
