A community organization in Halifax is seeking a Violence Prevention & Human Trafficking Manager to oversee resources for clients affected by violence and human trafficking. This full-time contract role requires leadership skills, certification in crisis intervention, and extensive community service experience. Responsibilities include strategizing prevention initiatives, managing a team, and collaborating with various community services. The Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre is centrally located in the urban Indigenous community of Halifax and is looking for One (1) Violence Prevention & Human Trafficking Manager.
The Violence Prevention & Human Trafficking Manager (VPHTM) will provide resources for clients who have been victimized and subjected to violence and are involved in human trafficking. The VPHTM will oversee the Violence Prevention & Human Trafficking department including all staff on a day-to-day basis. The VPHTM will oversee and coordinate an Indigenous strategy for human trafficking prevention across the Atlantic provinces.
