Job summary

A leading technology firm in Canada seeks an experienced Video Switcher Solutions Architect to serve as the primary pre-sales contact for production switcher solutions. The role demands technical expertise in live production workflows, collaboration across various departments, and hands-on experience with Grass Valley switcher platforms. Responsibilities include assisting sales teams, delivering demonstrations, and managing demo systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex systems effectively.

Qualifications

  • Deep technical knowledge of Grass Valley switchers, especially K‑Frame, Kahuna, and/or Mav‑X.
  • Exceptional understanding of live production workflows and signal flow.
  • Strong IP video knowledge including ST 2110, PTP, and network architecture.
  • Ability to design complete production switcher solutions integrated with video, audio, and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales teams and customers in production switcher system design.
  • Create Bill of Materials (BoM) and solution configuration.
  • Deliver product demonstrations at customer sites and trade shows.
  • Support service and technical support organizations with escalations.
