A community-focused organization in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Victim Advocate Caseworker. This position provides critical support to individuals who are victims of crime, facilitating their engagement in the restorative justice process. The ideal candidate has a background in social services or justice, with significant knowledge of Indigenous cultures. Responsibilities include preparing clients for restorative justice and providing ongoing support in a team environment. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
Regular Position - One Full Time Vacancy
The Victim Advocate Caseworker’s primary responsibility is to provide clients, who are victims of crime, with support and encourage active participation in the restorative justice circle process within the Friendship Centre. The Victim Advocate Caseworker will prepare clients for the restorative justice process and will provide ongoing support. Frequent and consistent follow up with the client will be required, as well as collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and coordinate culturally relevant services and supports.
