One of Canada's Most Trusted Investment Brands.

At Picton Mahoney Asset Management (PICTON Investments), being alternative isn’t just what we do - it’s who we are.

Founded by industry pioneer David Picton, we’ve spent 20 years challenging conventional wisdom and redefining the investing landscape. As one of Canada’s most trusted investment brands, we are proudly independent - privately run, 100% employee-owned, and deeply committed to delivering results for our clients.

Thinking Alt ernat ive is in Our DNA.

With a team of 171 bold thinkers - one-third dedicated solely to investment management - we are specialists, not generalists. Managing $15.7 billion for institutional and retail clients, we navigate markets with conviction, resilience, and a forward-thinking approach.

We’re more than investors - we’re innovators. We challenge traditional investment mindsets, constantly pushing the boundaries to achieve our mission: To bring greater certainty to investors.

Our success is built on four guiding principles:

  • Treat investors’ money like our own.
  • Redefine the way investors invest.
  • Be human—always approachable.
  • Succeed together, one investment at a time.

These aren’t just words - they define how we think, how we invest, and how we work.

Now, we’re entering our next chapter. We’re transforming our brand and reshaping the way the world invests. If you think alternatively, embrace an entrepreneurial spirit, and thrive in a dynamic, bureaucracy-free environment, join us and be part of what’s next.

Thriving in Our Entrepreneurial Culture

At PICTON Investments, you’ll thrive in our creative and dynamic workplace, where collaboration and support are at the core of everything we do. At our firm, you’ll have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities, work in a flexible environment, and tackle challenging projects from the outset. Our culture is designed for ambitious professionals who want to make an immediate impact while continuing to push boundaries and achieve our greater mission. You’ll be empowered with a high level of responsibility, trust, and flexibility, providing an exciting and creative space for you to help reshape how the world views alternative investments. With competitive total rewards, performance-based bonuses, and a clear path for career growth, you’ll have everything you need to develop both now and over the longer term.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Vice President, Inside Sales to lead the next stage of our growth by building and elevating our Inside Sales function. In this role, you’ll drive sales performance, mentor and develop top talent, and ensure our team is positioned to deliver meaningful results for advisors across Canada. This role will initially report to the Chief Sales Officer and, as our sales leadership structure evolves, will transition to a new role designed to support our expanding national sales team.

You’ll work closely with External Wholesalers, Marketing, and Portfolio Managers to align strategy, scale execution, and strengthen advisor engagement. You’ll also play a pivotal role in shaping the career path from Inside Sales Associate to Wholesaler, helping to build the next generation of sales leadership.

If you’re entrepreneurial, ambitious, and passionate about leading teams in a fast-growing, client-focused firm, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact - and to help redefine how advisors experience alternative investments.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and lead:

Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Set the vision for Inside Sales, shaping strategies for prospecting and advisor base expansion while positioning Picton’s investment solutions through a consultative approach that drives new business growth.
  • Partner with Sales Leaders and External Wholesalers to align inside sales efforts with territory and national objectives, ensuring consistent messaging and seamless execution.
  • Present sales insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership, influencing broader firm strategy.
  • Build on the existing inside sales structure and lead its evolution as the business grows, ensuring metrics and activity targets are achieved through energetic leadership, coaching, and motivating incentive programs.
Team Development & Growth
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Inside Sales team within an entrepreneurial, growth-focused culture that emphasizes ambition, learning, and career development.
  • Provide dedicated coaching and mentorship to elevate performance and create clear pathways for ISA-to-Wholesaler progression.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, product training, and continuous development to keep the team confident in positioning advanced strategies such as Hedge Funds and Liquid Alternatives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, where ideas, best practices, and innovation are actively shared and celebrated.
Sales Execution & Enablement
  • Drive a high-performance culture where ISAs consistently meet and exceed activity targets across calls, meetings, and digital outreach.
  • Oversee pipeline management, CRM discipline, and sales funnel integrity, ensuring accurate data, strong reporting, and measurable progress.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls to align inside and external sales on priorities, opportunities, and execution.
  • Partner with Marketing to translate campaigns into impactful advisor engagement, and collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Wholesalers on roadshows, events, and advisor education.
  • Ensure territories are structured to maximize advisor coverage and sales penetration, reducing friction and creating scalable growth.
What we’re looking for
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience in investment management, wealth, or capital markets, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Previous Inside Sales leadership and/or wholesaling management experience is required.
  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completion of the CSC; CFA, CIM, or another advanced financial designation is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, capital markets, and alternative strategies (e.g., Hedge Funds, Liquid Alternatives).
  • Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies that deliver measurable growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales talent—building clear pathways from ISA to Wholesaler.
  • Skilled in leveraging CRM platforms and sales technology for pipeline discipline, reporting accuracy, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal teams and with senior external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the year to support offices in Toronto, Quebec, Alberta, and Vancouver.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous learning, innovation, and scaling sales teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of Canadian investment industry regulations is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is a strong asset
  • A proven ability to thrive in rapidly scaling organizations and evolving sales structures.
  • A track record of success in alternative investments and advisor distribution channels.
