Purpose of the Position

You will play a key role in our client’s transformation and continued growth. As a strategic and operational leader, you will be responsible for leading the business unit dedicated to building mechanics and electricity. This role requires a comprehensive vision (strategic, financial, operational, and human resources) to mobilize a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to achieve established objectives.

You will be actively involved in developing the strategic plan for this business unit while ensuring its implementation. A general understanding of the technical aspects of building is essential, although in-depth expertise in each area is not required.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Design and execute a strategic plan aligned with the company’s overall vision for the construction sector.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily activities with directors while optimizing internal processes to ensure the quality of delivered projects.
  • Financial Management: Ensure project profitability while respecting established budgets and timelines.
  • Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, develop strong relationships, manage tenders with existing clients, and establish new partnerships.
  • Collaboration: Work with other divisions (civil engineering, urban planning, telecommunications) to offer integrated solutions to clients.
  • People Management: Inspire and mobilize the construction team while fostering their professional development.
  • Technology: Interest and/or knowledge of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and a willingness to integrate innovative technical solutions into existing processes.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Building Mechanics. 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in building mechanics, ideally acquired within a consulting engineering firm.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, building electrical, and civil engineering).
  • General understanding of technical aspects of building (without necessarily being an expert).

The ideal candidate is a mobilizing leader with a strategic vision and a general understanding of technical aspects of building. The candidate must demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit combined with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to specific project needs and a collaborative approach are essential.
