VFX project manager

Canotech is looking for someone with a minimum of five years Project Management experience to work as a Project Manager on jobs both in Winnipeg and in Northern Communities. Project sizes may range from $500,000.00 to $20,000,000.00

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and managing project schedules
  • Contract negotiation and contract management
  • Coordination and communication with Superintendents, Consultants and Owners
  • Subcontractor management and coordination
  • Identification and mitigation of project risks
  • Managing and tracking of project documents such as RFIS, PCNS, CO, etc.
  • Project quality control
  • Construction and project accounting
  • Conflict resolution
  • Chair meetings and prepare clear and concise meeting minutes

A strong candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of the construction industry, methods, and procedures
  • Experience managing and maintaining a safe work environment on a jobsite
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications at a high level
  • Competent with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) as well as Microsoft Project and a general aptitude for new technology and software as it is introduced
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Post secondary education pertinent to the construction field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
