VFX Project Manager

Central Precast – located in Carp, Ontario, Canada. MCON Products is a family‑owned industrial manufacturing facility providing high quality precast concrete products including pipe, maintenance holes, catch basins, highway barriers, culverts, oil grit separators, and gravity retaining wall systems.

• Permanent, full‑time position. • Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year. • Start date: As soon as possible. • Work location: On site in Carp, ON.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide leadership, technical support, and coordination across engineering, production, and customer service teams. The Project Manager will oversee complex/custom projects, manage communication, and ensure quality and delivery against design standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple projects from award through design, approval, procurement, production, and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact from award to installation.
  • Facilitate virtual and in‑person meetings to strengthen client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Estimating, Production staff, BIM/CAD Technicians, and Project Coordinators to deliver products on time with accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Perform detail material quantity take‑offs and ensure designs meet standards.
  • Coordinate approval and purchase of specialty hardware.
  • Assist with estimates, reviews, and costing.
  • Prepare plant shop drawings for manufacturing as required.
  • Communicate with general/site contractors, consulting engineers, and external sales reps on project status and inquiries.
  • Conduct job site visits when products are being installed.
  • Lead any complex or custom projects, consulting with Estimating on custom proposals.
  • Contribute to detailing and designing fabrication projects in the plant as required.
  • Maintain library of standard shop drawings.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Engineering or Construction Engineering Technician program.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Five years in a project manager position or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and prepare working drawings.
  • Experience preparing project schedules and contributing to engineering specifications and drawings.
  • 3‑D computer‑aided engineering, AutoCAD, MS Excel proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of estimating processes.
  • Knowledge of drainage and irrigation systems, pipelines, roadways, highways, sewers, and sewage treatment facilities.
