NVA Canada is offering a practicum opportunity for final-year veterinary technician students at the Family Pet Hospital & 24Hr Emergency Centre in Lethbridge, AB. Students will gain hands-on experience in both general practice and emergency care, working alongside seasoned professionals to enhance their skills in various veterinary procedures. About Family Pet Hospital & 24Hr Emergency Centre
We are a hybrid hospital that offers experience in both general practice and emergency care.
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Students will work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more.
This program helps enhance communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing students for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, accommodating various schedules and career goals.
Eligibility and Benefits
Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year—may receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses, allowing focus on learning without financial worries.
