Our office is seeking a Verification & Validation Requirements Manager to join our Toronto team.

This position will be to work on various projects but at this time the Scarborough subway extension project. This is a hybrid role of 3 days in office and 2 days option to be at home.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the identification of requirements for each discipline (leaded by each Discipline Requirement Owner / Engineer) in line with the Requirements Management Procedure. Managing the identification of requirements sources and rationale
  • Defining acceptance criteria for requirements
  • Ensuring consistency, accuracy and maintenance of Project requirements by communicating changes, revisions, non-compliances, departures, etc. to the Requirements Team
  • System requirement definition and subsystem de-composition
  • Review and acceptance of compliance evidence against requirement within their area of responsibility to establish requirements acceptance and progressive assurance
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints (DOORS Rational, Compliance Matrix, Verification Matrix and other similar tools for the demonstration of requirements achievement)
  • Undertake technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses at all levels of total system "product" to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Requirements
  • Background in : Software / Systems / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineer with a holistic, systemic view of projects
  • Experience in the application of ISO / IEC / IEEE 15288 : 2015 Systems and software engineering System life cycle processes
  • Experience in the use and management of IBM DOORS and DOORS Next Generation
  • Min 5-7 years of experience in Requirements Management tasks
  • Rail and Transit project experience preferably locally to Toronto
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering methods, tools, and processes
  • INCOSE certification (ASEP / CSEP / ESEP)
