A local government entity is looking for a Utilities Technologist – Water in Red Deer, Alberta. This permanent full-time position involves coordinating various environmental planning programs and managing procurement activities. The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for a Utilities Technologist – Water to fill a permanent full-time position. They will be responsible for the coordination of a variety of programs, projects and activities in the Environmental Planning Section. This position prepares and administers various procurement activities and also performs a variety of administrative activities.

Requirements

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

  • Diploma in Civil or Environmental Engineering Technology.
  • Registered as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Applied Science Technologist with The Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
  • Three years’ experience in a municipal public works environment with a focus on Project & infrastructure management.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Mature open communication skills
  • Good computer skills including Word processing and Excel spreadsheets.
